OK - I've got to confess, I started this thread with a heading that I'm happier to post discussions under (say vs the nonsense post that created the 'Share Price Takes a Dive" thread!
I like CCP a lot and have bought strongly whilst well under value earlier in FY19. The steady rise before/since the March results and capital raise have been very pleasing. I had thought the SP would take a breather around $22 but the steady rise seems to me to have occurred due to:
- back drop of a decade of strong performance and sensible risk management (since GFC) ... especially in prices paid for purchased ledgers - demonstration of ability to profitably concentrate on getting more $'s from existing debt ledgers if/when new ones are priced too high - a good start to US operations (ledger analysis/pricing, seller approvals, profitability, etc) - investors realising how big the US opportunity is (CCP so rarely raises capital - it must be really good!) - reelection of Morrison govt removes any concerns about unreasonable/populist regulation that would affect Wallet Wizard
At the moment I'm having trouble identifying any downside risks that aren't under good control of CCP management.
The strong rally has lifted my holding well above target weighting (along with the modest top-up with the capital raise). However, given my above thoughts I'm currently letting it run rather than re-weighting.
Others thoughts on these or other factors? Do I have a blindspot?
