    Yes, you are on the right track - profits brought forward, assets higher, and borrowing funds with PDL assets as collateral may be facilitated by agreed repayment plans arranged after PDLs are processed. To which I would add that it would also tend to facilitate capital raising. A negative aspect of this is that under amortising can give an illusion of company wellbeing, and hence increase the SP for a while, but in time the proverbial will hit the fan.

    CCP's relatively high Amortisation/Collections ratio (about 47%), either means CCP has a poor collections facility (or it pays too much for PDLs), and it is delaying profit recognition to match the inflow of collections. I do not believe CCP has a poor collections facility, or pays too much for PDLs, so I take great comfort in the fact that CCP's profit is recognised late, rather than early, and the corollary of this is that the PDL asset is undervalued, rather than overvalued. Consequently, we shareholders are less likely to face a time of reckoning (huge asset value impairment).
