The labor true believers are finally taking some interest in finance and budgets and those things that don't normally concern them.
Now they even ask "Where is the money coming from?" They should be commended for that. It is a great leap forward compared to the six previous budgets where they thought they knew where it came from: From trees. Now anyone who has bought some fruit knows that to be fairly accurate but someone still has to pick this "money" and unionists insist on being paid $2 for every dollar note they pick so we still go backwards.
Some have even suggested Google and Apple should pay tax. Now that's a novel thought but I'm bemused as to why it has only now become an imperative. Were they not dodging tax during the labor years?
Another proposal is to cut the lurks and perks of ex-politicians. That's a bit rich from the party that gave us a revolving door policy on PMs and a sausage machine churning out ex-ministers. I agree that we shouldn't be showering these failures in largess but it was labor who imposed them on us.
But keep up the studies comrades. By the next election you may even be asking labor "Where did the money go?"
