    Hi Rembrandt imo the reason the balance may have changed is the fact that more people realise the massively wealthy are using financial power and government to become even more massively wealthy while many who previously tended to the right and used to do quite well find themselves struggling because the money disproportionately trickles up instead of down. So they move to the left because the right is largely ignoring them and is taking from them and pushing it upwards to those at the top of the financial tree. The middle class is being hit in the interests of big business and multi-national corporations.So it’s the behemoths on the right that are less in number but have massive wealth and their hangers on that work their butts off for them, while the rest on are on the left because they feel hard done by. The article reckons balance is needed particularly in our universities.

    Of course the article needs context as it has been written by someone on the right of politics in former Nationals Deputy Prime Minister John Anderson AO. There is bound to be a tad element of bias even if subconscious bias lol.
