If you don't have a moral compass you don't know where you are. This is why the Liberal wets and Greens/ALP and half the cross bench are so dangerous. A moral compass keeps people out of trouble.
Moral issues are and should be the big issues. Someone said once that capitalism doesn't really work without Christianity as a moderating guide to behaviour.
Bible gives ample number of examples through Jesus' parables like the Talents, the Rich young Ruler, prodigal son etc of the eternal issues of wealth generation, charity, family loyalty.
If the definition of wrong is getting caught, then we continuously face the problems of MP's entitlement-thinking, stealing other people's (taxpayer and shareholder) money to use for own ends (buying votes included). Better be very careful who gets nominated and elected. This is why Australian Conservatives are going to be so important. Can't take out the trash from the safe seats held by both sides overnight, that will take years. But a little salt can prevent a large barrel from spooling. Christians like John Anderson truly are called to be salt and light to the world.
Oh and they don't mind if they are not appreciated in their own time, like Jesus, by and large.
