Very well thought thoughts above indeed... very interesting reads. Thank you all. One thing, I would like to point out is we always need to consider the validity of the underlying assumption, i.e. if we assume that shares is gonna give us x% of return, I thought it would be prudential to take into account the time-frame. For young folks, they can wait it out, however, for some retired, it might NOT just be that easier to wait it out... again, individual circumstances is critical. That's why you always best to talk to your financial planner (assume a good one). One strategy works perfectly for one of you might NOT work at all for another.
