I'll put in my 2c about the US Senate.

The MORE Bill passed overwhelmingly in the House of Reps - the people's house. This shows American lawmakers that the people are in favor of decriminalization by a large majority.

The Senate must now consider the will of the people - not just necessarily along party lines (some Republicans voted YES in the lower house too) ............ or in the case of Hot Copper, along 'Held' or 'Not Held' lines ! lol

I don't think that it's black & white "Republicans are automatically against it" - especially with the massive tax revenue at stake. They also have their constituents to deal with in a year that the Party has been knocked around.

Let's see
