I take your point but my point is Cummins is thinking only about what suits bowlers best at that moment in time late in an innings when they, the bowlers, dont want to bat. but more runs was crucial in a low scoring game and he had the blinkers on to that need from himself and his co- bowler Hazelwood to do. If Cummins had stopped and thought he would've realised more runs were needed then and his bowlers wouldve been even fresher and firing in the morning. I doubt Steve Smith as captain then or a wicket-keeper batsman as captain would declare while trailing on the first innings. Alex Carey may well do a far better job of avoiding losing.
