Criminal Activity?

How do you report PR regarding an FDA approved IND application in the US and less than a week later report total devastating results on Phase 2B Trials? Just doesn't make any sense at all. I can't believe the release and the horrible patient outcomes that were reported. I read it like patients had such horrible side effects why didn't they stop the trial before its conclusion? It read like a patient or so almost died! Patients stopping the trial because of significant events being seen, etc. IMHO... there will be significant lawsuits and there may be criminal activity all around. Lastly, why would you report devastating company close the door results now instead of waiting 2 more months for the full report to be released? Just doesn't make any sense at all.
