crises times

Does anyone think here UCM can hold the crises since they have cash to hold for a year and a half and by then we would have come back to a bit of normality in markets?

or is it gone be as per my friend investor told me:

BHP or RIO will wait for little pearls - like UMC - to fall into their hands for peanuts....i say so because we look like gone for a wild ride...so Companies like BHP or RIO have cash - but with current times, they just RE-Prioritise their investments. And UMC could be a victim of the sharks.

Anyone to help w the above?
