As I go through your list of global success stories , you and others could perhaps give some thought to the fact that all are from effectively what are large domestic markets .
The Swedish , German and French car companies , are all under the umbrella of the EU trading bloc .
John Deere , New Holland , the USA.

I am perfectly happy for people to put their money into OZ manufacturing , as long as it is their own , and not the taxes or super savings of workers.
There is nothing wrong with being rich off the back of those advantages our geography and expertise in mining and agriculture give us.
The merchants of doom , from the right and left , have been moaning in the wind for most of my life.
Still one of the great places to live.
Not perfect , but pretty good.
