The methods for extracting useful power from comparitvely low temp extracted water are not new, but the one that has the hype around it (kalina) has gone to bed with ?? Petratherm ( i think). I think patenting processes that have nbeen used for ages will be hard so all of the companies will have options for lower temp extraction eventually. proximity to the grid and the the actual resource will be the big advantages, a customer next door has to be good too.
