Highlight:

1. five rare earth metals (dysprosium, neodymium, terbium, europium and yttrium), as well as indium, were assessed as
most critical in the short term.

2. Application:
- Lighting phosphors: terbium, europium, yttrium, lanthanum and cerium
- Magnets in electric vehicle motors and wind turbine generators: neodymium,
dysprosium and praseodymium
- Fuel cells: yttrium



As NTU has plenty of dysprosium, yttrium and terbium according to recent report, I speculate these HREE pricing will be kept rising in short term to reflect their shortage.
