Doubt any poster for or against has any weighting in ending/escalating the war in the bigger scheme of things - that is reserved for other decision makers. Who done this or who done that does not end the suffering and killings - but diplomacy can - but that path has been killed from way back.
As for war killings etc, Israel is doing a fine job but where is the outcry?? Is that war justified or preferred?? Guess the Palestinians would feel much better knowing that they're dying because the war is justified as against preferred. Sell that point to them or their loved ones.

Any war whether deemed justified or not results in deaths. Human history shows humans are masters of causing death by various horrific ways - nuclear is the latest fad but when released on mass after all the years of testings, it may just be the end of life as we know it - irrespective of who done what, where or when. Whilst you mentioned Hitler, he did not drop the atomic bombs, that was done by the victors and with a couple of bangs, the nuclear age arrived and like a virus, spread across the globe with no antidote.

What justification was there to kill the residents of two Japanese cities as when those bombs were dropped, Germany already was defeated and Japan was already weak? Was that event justified or preferred so as to see whether they work, or how they work to inflict the damage?

    Excerpt:

....contrary to the popular myths around the atomic bomb’s nearly magical power to end the war, the Navy Museum’s explication of the history clearly indicates that “the vast destruction wreaked by the bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki and the loss of 135,000 people made little impact on the Japanese military.”

It was only with the entry of the Soviet Union’s Red Army into the war two days after the bombing of Hiroshima that the Japanese moved to finally surrender.

Not everything that's popular based on what the media spews out is a true representation of events that unfolded or continue to unfold today. AIMO
