We have a large red belly that we've seen around for a few years and we leave it alone. A few weeks ago I went into the hay shed and had a gut feeling to be very careful. The next day our neighbour told me she saw a very big snake leaving the shed and heading down the back. We feel quite protected as since it's been around no browns have been spotted.
I woke up to see a very large gecko on the wall. The largest I've seen. We leave them alone as they eat the insects and spiders.
I try to avoid much on the road such as turtles and lizards but driving the other morning right in front of two school kids was a turtle. I pulled over to grab it off the road but a miner's truck drove straight on top of it in front of us. I looked over at the kids and they were so angry. He'd seen it but then he saw my face. They don't realise they have rego numbers now do they.
We still have our echnideas about.
