You're right copperwired , I can't give you advice. And I'm sorry you have been experiencing losses these past months. While the Markets are certainly no ' Magic Pudding ' for instant success or gratifications , it has been a ' Sweet ' time to be an Investor generally.
But you can get caught up in the ' Hype ' and ' Euphoria ' in often paying to high a price in the momentum of the ' moment ' if you like. Do I think you have done that with CRO at 3.9 cent entry - Hell No. And you would know that I believe this if you've read any of my recent posts. And I understand that for a new investor , if you don't understand the TA , then don't - just research the companies as you have said you have done with CRO. Because , if you haven't noticed already , the TA often comes in after something has happened , and there's bee a big spike in the stock price.
And CRO is no different to any other stock you look at on Hot Copper. They all come to the party late , as well as to the rescue late. Go have a look at some of the posts.....string a few together , and you will find that almost magically they claim there ' now ' out after a 40% pop in the SP ....which they didn't actually call , and didn't forewarn the ' listener's ' about . So how could you use that information in the first place unless you were doing the exact same thing behind the scenes. Heck it's no wonder that some of them actually have sentiments ' None ' , ' Not Held ' , and you can understand why.....as it would be considered advice right ? Anyway enough of that - just continue to do your research of as much as you can within your own abilities .....and then make a decision to back yourself in. And everything in this business is a learning experience......and you never really stop learning.
What I can do short of providing advice is to try and point out some of the significant ' Fundamental ' issues underpinning the Growth Story surrounding CRO ....and it's expected rise and rise over time of it's Share Price. And I believe I have done that with virtually all my contributions on these threads.
So lets look at one issue we didn't get a chance to respond to yesterday - and that was the question as to Why I thought the exercising of the 2.5 Options as reported in the Appendix 2A updates yesterday were a sign of ' confidence ' and ' inspiring ' the further directions of the SP. And Not a negative one which some were prepared to suggest.
So one of the reason's I would put forward would be the simple fact that Management know they need a strong Balance Sheet , and with that a strong Share Price as reflected in underpinning an ever increasing and growing Market Capitalization .
And we touched on it today with respect to APT , and in these high volume transactions business which like them all are driven by increasing Customer Numbers, and who operate on ' Marginal ' fee driven incomes which in turn require Strong currency via their Script to grow their platforms organically as well as through acquisition .
And you only have to go back to a couple of statements made by Adrian to know this to be the case . So it's no surprise , he spoke about ' restructuring and strengthening the Balance Sheet in earlier interviews ...and how important that was He also supported this in his comments which were highlighted in the FIRST up interview provided by IseBigMal this morning......Where he stated thatthey pursued listing because :-
" We needed the Capital to Grow ....and Expand our Operations , and like a lot of Australian Businesses , accessing private money is more challenging .....and especially investments in Technology which tend to go down the path of the listed space.....and we really followed that line after taking advice from a handful of Corporate Advisors , and we largely got the same core message "
And then there is also the ' measured ' timing of the Employee Options at 4.0 cents ' implied ' value ......and so they've acted prudently and responsibly here in that they have taken care of their much valued employees , however at the sae time if you compared to where the share price was a month ago , you would actually say the the Bar had been set to low for these. So these TWO aspects together with the fact that they the Management need to keep pursuing a ' Strong Balance ' sheet have broken the Ice on the 2.5 cent options and said ' Hey why don't we set the challenge for them to be converted ' .....because we want to continue to ' Bolster ' the COH strength of the company ....and so are leading this exercise by direct example.
So those are my reasons for calling out the Appendix 2A as a significant ' confidence ' indicator. And you see this ALL the time with Growth Companies who are pro-active and on the front foot with managing their share capital and share prices.
