It is hard to let go of the reins and take a back seat when you have been the boss and decision-maker in all things. The little core company is no more - the company is unrecognisable and completely changed.
Asking why he is apparently willing to give up some profit on NMS shares misses the point - as a talented engineer, he will figure he can make more by applying his skills (and $5m) than by a passive investment in shares.
