    Crossed trades are when the broker (eg Comsec) is the originator for both the buy and the sell.

    You cannot infer too much from it, although sometimes it can be telling - for example if there are a lot of crossed trades, it may be a trader selling to themselves (in another account) to churn the stock to bump up the volume.
