I often wondered if all one has to do is simply position themselves long when it crosses above 10,000 and short when it crosses below. Simple. Eventually it has to stay one side or the other for a very long time. I doubt very much it would oscillate around 10,000 for years to come. Come to think of it, one could draw a line in the sand just about anywhere and use the same tactic. But then I'm not a position trader, just a poor old scalper.
