This will simply be not true if it is a statement concerning Radon-220. With a half life of 55 sec it would be mostly gone after 6 minutes. So what wind speeds are you assuming when saying that Radon-220 can travel thousands of miles.
If you have a problem understanding that there is such a thing as different isotopes which can behave differently i would suggest you read up on that topic.
