Papaw I ton't hink a tidal wave would be such an issue on the east coast of Malaysia. If you have a look at a map the South China Sea i think it is called is almost completely landlocked. I also think a saw Matthew James post a short note on facebook on the unlikelihood of a tidal wave on the Malay East Coast.
A rise in sea level may be a different story, but if so at least it would be a slower occurence and also the proverbial would hit the fan the world over, not just at LAMP.
