Maybe I'm just going out on a limb here, but waiting for the Explanatory Memorandum, and then the EGM would be way too late. They're not going to send info out until this is a stitched-up deal.
One or more of the major institutional holders would need to be onside, and of course, there is nothing to stop them taking a stake in Forge once the deal has gone through. They may even be positioning themselves in there now....
Conspiracy theory? Maybe, maybe not. But the PERCEPTION is what it's all about, and the smell out here in shareholder land is getting more putrid by the day.
And of course still no word from Curtis or any of the other directors, who, as has been pointed out, are employed and paid to look after the interests of their shareholders. THEY do not own the company - we ALL do, including those directors that have shares.
Why do I have this strange feeling down the back of my neck that we are about to get royally shafted?
