If there's any unprofessionalism at all on display in this episode, it's Mr. Hinkley.

(Limited) sympathy for a tough call but, “If I was the AFL, I'd be embarrassed and disappointed in an industry that's so important to so many people."

Seriously? There is cause for embarrassment, but to call for the house to fall in on the AFL over a line ball call, it's Mr. Hinkley who has embarrassed himself.

There's not a sign of deflection anywhere in any of the slow/freeze frame anything. No deflection, on balance, in any rational analysis, means it didn't hit the post and the goal umpire has the call.

Mr Hinkley owes the AFL, it's fans, and Adelaide an apology for his outburst. Anyone would think he's the first and only victim ever of a line ball call.
