For those people like Rutz who like to believe DPs view of the world, this may be of interest. DP has suggested that CRR were "cutoff from the money" or don't have the money to invest in projects like JRV because of the credit crisis. Here is a nice counterexample to such claims:

Whilst I acknowledge it is possible that CRR ditched JRV to pursue a relationship with Buffalo, it is just as likely that they had to find something else to invest in after talks with JRV failed. Interesting that they were looking to invest $50 million Canadian which is similar ball park figure to the JRV joint venture
