I disagree. The hogging of the rig for the protracted farce of Zapato was always going to burn drill slots. An issue I raised in conjunction with the waste of time and money on this wild goose chase, unsupported by 3D. Rig slots was part of the reason for immediate cessation at TD .IMO.
As to Sonangol, they would have focused on the globally significant discovery, like rational oilers and this self inflicted rig availability wouldn’t be an issue. Cuba would have the oil from Alameda production to keep the lights on. I think the Cuban government’s actions and the rig situations there were not only foreseeable but expected. Least ways I did and stated so.
