Cruise ship owners have created numerous breeding grounds for disease on their ships. In particular, their food preparation and lack of basic hygiene has ensured the spread of disease. Now they are playing a game of high stakes chicken with us, using the lives of the people on board to offload them from (essentially) plague ships.
I propose this.
The crew and passengers of all cruise ships in Australian waters will be cared for by Australia. In turn, all those ships will be impounded and become the property of the Australian government, and used to pay for the care of the infected, and any costs that we incur. We keep anything left over.
