I have read somewhere (care to be more specific?) that systematically buying 12 month lows have a negative expected return.
Well that can't be an absolute, it must be only a trend. You have expressed a theory as if it is an absolute fact.
And since MSB is hardly a typical stock in terms of fundamentals, nor is it typical in terms of Long Term prospects, I'd rate that theory along with any other theory that is applied to the average stock.
Not very highly.
