In fairness, I've an observer of other ASX listed companies that have been a party in legal wranglings, seemingly quite significant ones. Nearly all of these companies did not immediately report such actions to shareholders, if at all, as it may have been deemed not in the best interests of shareholders - perhaps mostly due to the relevant legal complexities being deemed a private matter, so as to maximise the probabilities of winning any potential finalised settlement, and thereby protect shareholder wealth.
At first I was surprised, but it's not unusual IMO.
