. CEO Joe Kaderavek and Executive Manager Dr Andrew Tong joined Federal Minister for Trade, Dan Tehan, in Washington last week for meetings with the US Department of Commerce.
. US Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo announced that the US planned to fund Australian critical minerals producers.
. Apart from COB (Market Cap $298m) there were two other listed companies represented at the Washington talks - $LYC/Lynas Rare Earths (MC $9.9b) and $ILU/Iluka Resources (MC $5.1b).
Joel Crane, now COB's full time investor relations manager, also confirmed that COB is in talks with many leading auto OEMs.
Crane notes that the new Broken Hill demonstration plan will be running in May and that it will be producing cobalt product for analysis by potential off-takers over the ensuing seven weeks.
He also revealed that COB is working on plans to extract cobalt from mine tailings from around Australia.
