The two futures markets recorded a surge in BTC volumes which is the highest BTC futures ever. Interestingly there is no delivery of BTC on these contracts meaning there is no real price discovery. We think there would be a very different story in the market if there was delivery on these future contracts. i.e. BTC futures is purely speculative and not really a hedging instrument yet.
