Hey im a BTC BULL but if you look at BTC market dominance in 2017 it was around 70-80% it is now around the mid 40%, the trend is certainly away from BTC
That is a fact not an opinion.
It is losing its 'appeal' im not saying all alt coins are good i dare say 98% are junk but there is certainly a trend of market share moving away BTC
As for the tech it is old af BTC code is from the 90s technology has come a long way since then
