    The reason you could get a bedsitter for ?280k is because the property prices have dived here. Also Chelsea is a very expensive suburb as well - so ?300k is probably about right for a studio apartment.

    The exchange rates would certainly help too - GBP is falling off a cliff.

    I live in London & it's not that expensive to buy right now, as long as you can get the loan ;)
