CSG is definitely here to stay, it will now be subject to the Gasfields Commission for regulation.

Gasfields Commission Bill 2012, the legislation was passed last week (18 April 2013)

Whether or not UCG ends up within their purview remains to be seen, although CSG and UCG are two completely different processes, funnier things have happened in Gov. portfolio's.
