I note the announcement is vague in that it does not mention the levels of the various contaminants. It mentions traces of benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene and xylene (BTEX) had been found in the hydraulic fractured wells in the Surat Basin.

Cougar had traces of of benzene, toluene but not the other two contaminants.

If Derm has any intestinal fortitude they will shut down Origin & Conocco Phillips Surat Basin CSG operations for a lengthy period of time & subject them to the same rigorous testing process just as they have done Cougar. I cannot see that happening though as we are talking about two of the "big boys" now. Cougar is a small fry and does pack the same clout.
