    Network costs are the same regardless of the generation source. ln SA's case, a large geographic area combined with a small customer base means that distribution is expensive. Economics 101.

    Which is another fantastic advantage of renewables in states like SA and WA . They can do away with big grid costs and go with micro grids. That's another thing that dirty old coal and toxic nuclear can't do .

    That must be why millions of Aussies are putting solar on their rooftops. Generate the power where it is used and avoid the network costs.
