    The baseload coal fired power stations are closing down for a couple of reasons.

    1. The co2 emissions.

    2. Baseload coal can't compete with renewables .

    Therefore, a nuclear power station sited at a former CFPS site simply wouldn't work financially. End of story.

    That's not to mention the cost of storing the toxic waste for a few thousand years etc.
