As for the impact of China on manufacturing globally - I agree with@Leroy82 - there is a shift occurring... much of the appeal of using China (cheap labour) is being eroded by a swelling middle class and tax incentivized manufacturing zones.
Most majors are seeing that there is also IP risk and geopolitcal risk (highlighted by Russias actions) which have made the appeal of offshore less appealing. Even Intel is looking to setup a foundry in the US... as long as congress pass the relevant taxation incentives - but if the incentives pass - its a 20b investment in manufacturing back on US soil and will employ US citizens. If Apple do similar - that will be a massive shift.
Suncable has also been in talks with the Oz government on how we can bring solar manufacture domestically - the IP is already ours... their project alone will justify scale... and the transition will justify and validate a reason for it to remain.
