As an aside but related topic, the current richest man in the world Elon Musk, got his start with Tesla with a very generous input of public monies (ie more taxpayers USD) from then President Obama, one of the many profligate Democrats' Presidents who squandered mega Bn's and these days Tns. Yet he is still receiving a lot of Govt (taxpayer) subsidies for some of his renewables products.
