totally... the only people using "baseload" terminology are those that are fixated on building an electricity grid with a limited number of generation units - so need to confirm that "base" load can be met if other generators are off.
New world order means over scaling generators and storage - clearly this will need to eventually involve some mechanism to compensate a generator for not supplying (when surplus available)... or hydrogen or other energy intensive process to commence to absorb that surplus load.
Reality is also that sufficient wind generation - sufficiently geographically dispersed around our vast country - also creates a "base" load form of generation - it may not be able to scale up on demand... but that is where BESS and other dispatchable power sources (gas & coal) come in.
