You said record floods. So I asked whether you were referring to the floods in Sydney (and if you were referring to these), then there is plentiful historical records showing that this years floods were not unprecedented in terms of size (or frequency).

Were you referring to a different flooding event.

You can skate around the issue all you like with examples like Germany, but at the end of the day they clearly miscalculated their ability to meet their own energy needs through renewable sources, and as a result they are now dependent on a country they are in a proxy war with (Russia) and also having to restart those 'awful' coal fire power stations.
