What do you think the national security implications will be when Australia's entire power grid is 100% reliant on supply chains which come from China (Steel for wind turbines and towers), solar panels manufactured almost exclusively in China etc.
Do you think our largest global enemy could be incentivised to restrict access to these items in order to get what they want?
It's not like there is a current example happening in the world where the outsourcing of an electricity / gas grid is resulting in one country being able to hold others to ransom:
