Only in places where height is available you can get more energy because mass (water) and gravity are fixed. Just look where Hydro has been installed around the world right now! The longer the delays on Nuclear, the more the pressure on gas availability is required because Batteries, Windfarms and Solar is not being built quick enough to replace our coal assets. The extra transmission lines has not been costed in!
