Centre for Independent Studies Energy Program Director Aidan Morrison discusses the price estimates from CSIRO regarding nuclear power.
There are concerns that nuclear energy is unfeasible due to high costs, per reports from CSIRO.
“The big news that’s dropped today that CSIRO has actually changed their mind about what the actual cost for nuclear would be,” Mr Morrison told Sky News host Chris Kenny.
“Previously we had a price that was based on a single SMR project which was somewhat experimental … now the prices to build nuclear power have come back down to earth.
“Last week they were saying it's six times as expensive as renewables, this week they’re saying it's only about two times.”
