A little disappointed this stock hasn’t pushed through $300 yet however upcoming results and forward commentary are still the most likely catalyst.
Something worth noting is the fact that this stock has historically been quite sensitive to the $A/$US exchange rate. The $A has quietly strengthened from $US0.67 to $US0.71 over the past month. This mightn’t seem significant however it’s a 6% appreciation and 6% of the CSL stock price at current levels is around $17.
The ASX listed stock was roughly where it is now a month ago - all other things being equal it would be trading around $310 if the $A was still at $0.67.
The currency impact can be seen quite clearly when comparing the below one month graphs for the ASX listed stock versus the US listed stock.
Anyway - results in 4 days time. Potentially one of the more ‘share price shaping’ results/announcements days for some years for CSL you would have to say.
