The share price ranged today by $2.22 (betweeb the highest and the lowest). Given there is a 83.78 cents, unfranked dividend, representing only .671852% of CSL's closing price for the day, I doubt if the pursuit and selling of CSL shares were very much impacted at all by this small dividend, particularly given that it is unfranked. The CSL share price in any single day is highly likely to range by significantly more than anything as small as 83.78 cents. Take today for example.

If CSL's share price falls tomorrow, then the reason/s for this would need to have a basis other than the fact CSL goes ex-dividend tomorrow. Today, I decided not to offload CSL in order to lock-in the capital gain (and offset some of my registered losses) because this share may still have some way to go. Indeed, I am prepared to ride the ups and downs unless or until there is some negative news about this company and, todate, that is not the case, indeed the opposite. I will just pay my tax on the divvies, at this point in time.

If the share price falls tomorrow by a couple of dollars, that represents less than 2% of its closing price and just a daily occurrence on many shares. It ranged within a $2.22 bracket today and that is no surprise given that represents only 1.8% range for the day. Nothing really.
