Agreed. How you do your purchases largely depends on how much capital you have and your risk tolerance.
In this case, obviously with this company's quality, liquidity, track record and growth prospects, I can allocate more capital than most of my usual purchases.
However, I am wary of the valuation. 30x earnings for such a large, relatively mature company (growing the bottom line in the low double digits) at this stage in the market cycle is still rich, hence I am cautious even at $170.
