Generally, I'd [poorly] argue, whilst someone may well do better on the core elements of investment return, the larger super funds can give them a greater range of exposure and lower admin costs...also, someone else does the grunt work!

BUT......

Having said that, yes a person with some market experience can likely do better AND, one thing that does worry me a little, the emergence of the leftie "justice warriors" who seem to be. more and more. dictating to multi-billion dollar corporates where they will and won't invest....long term, that's a real concern....it also evidences the very poor state of current boardroom talent....but that's another issue....
