I enjoy your posts tremendously, your thoughts are always logical and well explained. I don't really understand why some take some offence when presented with differing views?

I have held CSL for many years although I last added to my holdings 4 or 5 years ago. I agree that as wonderful a company although I take your point that it's current valuation may be a little stretched.

I would be interested in knowing what role taxation consideration play in your investments?

if you acquired your CSL stock in the $80 range you mentioned earlier and are selling at say $300, on your $220 per share profit you are paying ballpark $55 in CGT. To sell your 100 shares to get your next SPP funding costs $5500 in CGT. Therfore you need 20% gain in your new purchase to put you back to square in capital terms.

Would you mind explaining to what extent that influence your investment decisoins (if any)?
