'The US Federal Trade Commission blocked CSL's $US3.1 billion takeover bid for rival Talecris Therapeutics in June 2009.
The commission said the plasma therapy manufacturers already operated as a "tight oligopoly" and engaged in market rigging practices."
Not so sure about the market rigging bit but they did pay a penalty for something around about then if I remember correctly
