A more long lasting effect of this terrible virus originating in China is that the Chinese government/regulators will make changes to the existing restrictive codes and enable CSL to both collect blood and process blood in China.
As the CSL CEO predicted at the time of partnering a Chinese pharmaceutical company many many years ago that it would take about 10 years for his company to make any real headway [in a production/manufacturing] sense in China.
Recent outcomes of the USA/China tariff war may have just laid the groundwork for such a mind-boggling future for CSL in China.
